PERSONAL DATA WE COLLECT
We collect Personal Data that identifies you or can be used to identify or contact you. This data may include name, address, email address, telephone number, gender, birth date, diet preferences (allergies, tastes, and likes) and password used to log into our subscription system. We also collect information regarding your health such as your current weight and your weight targets. Financial data and payment card details are not held by us but passed on to our payment processors. We do keep a history of transactions which includes services you have purchased from us and renewal dates. We also collect data on how you use the Website and we capture data from your system such as Browser, Device Type Location, and Time zone. Data is collected on our Website from third party software such as Google Analytics, Bing Ads, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram tracking code and we also tag users to the Website with Google AdWords remarketing code.
We collect the information when you sign up for our subscription service, products, and similar services. We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties.
HOW WE USE YOUR PERSONAL DATA
In order to access certain pages and services on our Website, such as diet plans, weight loss resources and weight loss support, if you create an account or purchase a monthly subscription, you must first complete steps to become a member and subscriber. During these sites you are required to provide us with personal information such as current weight, name and address and diet preferences. This data is used to provide services in relation to membership or monthly subscription and for billing purposes. We may also collect email address and other contact information to contact you about our services and future products or if there is an issue with your subscription as well as general support.
The legal basis for such processing of your Personal Data is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR. You are contractually required to provide us with such information and without such information we are not able to provide our services.
Marketing & Communications:
We also collect, use, and share Aggregated Data such as statistical or demographic data from Google Analytics, Facebook, and Google AdWords to be used for user analysis and marketing. As a result, you may have advertisements tailed to you on other Websites or systems through various advertising networks such as Google AdWords, Facebook and Bing Ads and any similar advertising networks.

If you get in touch with our customer service team, we will respond to your inquires, to provide you with support for our services and to manage your subscription or membership. Communication will be by email, online chat, telephone or in accordance with your request or preferences. Processing of your contact information is necessary to provide you with adequate support for our services, the legal basis for such processing is covered in Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR. You are not contractually required to provide us with this information but without it we are not able to send customer related communications.
Newsletter Subscribers:
If you subscribe to our newsletter, you have the option to receive newsletters and similar information regarding our services and promotions. You may also “opt-in” and we will send you information regarding offers, surveys, and relevant information about weight loss, health and fitness as presented, researched, and offered in our product and services.
The legal basis for such processing of your data is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) or – if you are an existing member or subscriber – our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) in providing you with relevant marketing information.
Social Media Marketing:
By using our Website, subscribing to our services, or becoming a member you may have the option to share personal data via social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, and YouTube. This personal data might include current weight, fitness goals and fitness achievements and similar data regarding general health. If you use these features, please be aware we cannot control how others will use your data and cannot prevent you from receiving messages from other internet users.
DATA SECURITY
We have taken every step to ensure appropriate security measures to prevent your personal data being lost, used, or accessed by third parties or disclosed in any way. Our Website uses SSL Encryption to protect your data and our certificates are domain-validated, and automatically renewed every 90 days by our hosting provider. Credit card details are not stored on our server, this security is handled by our partner Stripe. All card numbers on Stripe are encrypted at rest with AES-256. Decryption keys are stored on separate machines. None of Stripe’s internal servers and daemons can obtain plaintext card numbers; instead, they can just request that cards be sent to a service provider on a static whitelist. This information for stripe is accurate as of 12th September 2020, please ensure you check with Stripe on any changes to their system and security protocols.
DATA RETENTION
We retain your data for the period of your membership and subscription, without this we cannot provide our services to you. Personal data will also be retained for as long as required to fulfil our legal duties, including the purposes of accounting and reporting requirements. We keep all personal data stored on our servers once membership has been cancelled so that we may reactive an old account should it be required. We can however completely delete accounts if requested to do so. If an account is deleted, then old memberships cannot be renewed and must be created from again from scratch.
